California became the first state to ban most law enforcement officers from wearing facial coverings.

Truly a dumb bitch.  Claiming that different jobs with different job descriptions should have the same uniform standards is ludicrous.

Arguing all law enforcement jobs are the same is intellectually bankrupt. A local patrol officer serving the public is fundamentally different from a federal agent who should not operate without a judicial warrant.

This fascist judge invented a false equivalence to obscure ICE's lack of accountability. Her ruling has nothing to do with "uniform standards." It is about creating a shadow army of thugs who enforce power without restraint or identity.

Except the law did not exempt local cops from the no-mask rule.  It exempted the STATE POLICE.  WTF was the law written to exempt Super Troopers?  Why do they need to wear masks?  No law enforcement personnel of any kind should wear masks in a free country.

State troopers are sort in a 'local' grey area.  But that is a minor point.  The purpose of law is often to justify the unjustifiable.

The purpose of the law was to put some limits on ICE enforcement policies.

I don't see a gray area for Troopers.  Black & White to me.  NO MASKS for ANY law enforcement officers of any agency at any time. PERIOD.

The only grey area i mean is the definition of local.  I consider State Troopers to be very local on the freeway.  Especially when the blue lights are on.  That the judge made a spurious argument is the point.

So I agree, NO MASKS for ANY law enforcement officers of any agency at any time. PERIOD.
