The only question remaining is whether he's a sort of kamikaze president—willing to crash and burn his popularity in order to wreak maximum destruction on his enemies—or somehow can be convinced to pull this country back from the brink of total disaster.

I'll take Door #1 Monte.  The Shitstorm has just begun.  The budget negotiations will advance us further into the 7th Circle of Hell.  The worse it gets, the more likely His Trumppness will respond with Draconian solutions to stay in power.  Martial Law before 2028 is a real threat.  If the SCOTUS rules against him on a big case, I could see him having a Justice arrested.

• Both used coups (Stroessner succeeded; Trump failed—so far).
• Both rely on cult loyalty and state violence (Trump's ICE = Stroessner's police?).
• Stroessner shows Trump's plans are steps on the road to permanent dictatorship.

It happened because Trump is losing his shit.  Right now Trump hides out in Scotland and rants about windmills reducing the value of his golf course.  He does this while South Park talks about the size of his dick, and people in Scotland hate him.  Trump's elevators are getting jammed between floors more and more, so I wondered to myself.  What would Trump be like if he was not losing his shit.

So this Stroessner guy seems to have had the same kind of shit for brains, and Stroessner lived a long time.  He gave a few controlled interviews.  Did he have remorse, was he ever apologetic? No he was not.




Hundreds of protesters have gathered in Edinburgh and Aberdeen to voice their opposition to Donald Trump's visit to Scotland.  Demonstrators waved anti-Trump slogans objecting to the US president's five-day trip to the country, while others brought "Free Gaza" signs and Palestinian flags.
