Since we clearly are failing at the goal of eliminating the use of FFs in time to prevent +1.5C rise in global average temp, the new rhetoric is focused on resilience and adaptation.  This idea has bipartisan support and sounds reasonable.

The problem of course is that the necessary adaptations, like abandoning coastal cities or mving the entire populationo of the tropics north are pretty much impossible.  The one adaptation that works is for all these people to just disappear.

The language now used is the new Denial.  Since there is no solution and stopping the use of FFs isn't going to happen, this presentation keeps people pacified and BAU moving along.  It will work too, until the disasters start coming too fast to adapt.  Then we can start dealing with reality.
