I showed him the video that "Orion" helped me make. this was his response...(it seems a bit defensive right away) :).

"Oh I'm quite aware of what is happening with climate change but while machine learning does use a lot of energy climate change was predicted in the 19th century, written into the news of 1915, was a popular topic of democratic pressure in the 70's, written about in military publications in the 80's and suppressed by Exxon Mobil at the same time. Any excessive pollution caused by the electracy grid is the result of our inability to ensure its basis is renewable energy, rather than oil, coal or natural gas energy. Let's not forget the overconsumption of beef, the rampant afforestation or deforestation, the energy-inefficient buildings, and all that war. I wonder how much CO2 is going up just between Russia and Ukraine right now...

But fortunately since 2016 there has been an exponential explosion in investments in "green" sectors (hah!) and so while there is much to do and much at risk we have every chance to reach 1.5 degrees warming by 2100. The main barrier is really just convincing people to change their lifestyles, and the second, convincing the market to rewire the price-product relationships to enable that change in lifestyle.

But hey over the past few years I've largely phased out eating beef and greatly increased my reliance on lentils and beans, we don't drive much any more and I walk everywhere. My whole life I voted green and fough for the Green party, I tried my best to get all my friends and family thinking about climate change to prompt their change in behaviour and invested a significant amount of time as a philosopher arguing in defence of climate change related policies, probably ten thousand hours or more, in addition to other democratic action in support of such policy. So... I think I earned a little tinkering with the AI. As far as I can tell my average CO2 output is much lower than the average."

Oh, I don't pay for any use of any AI, if it isn't free I won't touch it. I use it very sparingly. I am intrigued by this guys self-importance in being a expert AI programmer. Also that he claims to be a dissident. I will be testing it to see if it leans to favor capitalism, or socialism. I am going to push it and write stuff to its memory banks that will help bring down the capitalist colonialism of our day! :)
