As usual with these stories of miraculous materials or infinite energy sources, it's all about what they DON'T tell you in the article that makes it suspicious.
There's no mention of what element(s) are used to create this miracle alloy. I doubt it's anything as cheap and available as iron and carbon. They don't mention what quantity of this material they produced or how much energy/kg it takes to synthesize. They don't mention what kind of temperature and pressure are necessary to produce it.
In other words, even if it's as strong and lightweight as they say, they're a long ways from manufacturing anything on a commercial scale. It will be quite some time if ever an airplane is manufactured using it.
