Maybe they think that, problem is they don't wanna do what's necessary to stop him. They figure it's somebody else's job. It's not gonna happen through Impeachment, not while the Repugnants run both houses of CONgress. Even assuming the Dems win the House in 2026 it's a stretch to get the 2/3rds majority. Besides, if you got rid of Trump, you'd still have Vance running the show. The only way he's out before 2028 would be some kind of Coup d'Etat.
No matter how you cut it, this will not end well.
