There's no way he'll back down, which means there are only a few possible outcomes.
1- More extreme repression with troops dispatched to all the major big shitties, suspension of various civil rights.
2- Rebellion or a coup d'Etat with possible secession by some states.
3- Increasing anarchy and random violence with no clear direction or leadership.
4- Possible assasination attempt, either real or False Flag.
Probably some other possibilities also, with the commonality that all the scenarios will lead to increasing violence along with an economic crisis. Needless to say, the Bond Vigilantes will not react well to any of these scenarios and getting a new federal budget passed is going to be impossible.
