Perspective on societal issues requires no relationship of any kind with Congresss critters. But it strikes me that any perspective, on most any topic, is improved with more information, the right kinds of information sources, understandings one's own bias on the topic, the ability to think critically and logically to cut through the ever growing noise to signal ratio online, etc etc.
