On the international level,  Trumpolini is trying to control the oil trade by preventing anyone with oil available for export to sell to anyone he perceives as an enemy, aka shithole countries populated by brown people with socialist goobermints.  For the exporters, this starves them of FOREX needed for food imports, thus raising the price of food in those countries.  This is destabilizing gooberments of both exporters and importers in South America, the Middle East and Africa.  Economic sanctions alone weren't sufficient because of the so-called "shadow fleet" of tankers, so he has escalated it to using the Navy to pirate these ships.  As a result of the destabilizattion, war is breaking out just about everywhere now.

Nationally, he is trying to ethnically cleanse Amerika not just by shutting down immigration, but also deporting any brown people who migrated to the FSoA over the last 30 years or so.  Cities like MPLS which have large easily identifiable communities of these immigrants are the primary target.  The escalating violeence gives him still more excuse to send more Gestapo and double down on the whole process.  That bizness is destabilizing the goobermint here and further polarizing the population.

With Free Elections, I'm pretty sure at this point the Repugnants would lose both houses of CONgress, we'd get an impeachment and there might be some chance of stepping back from the brink.  I'm just not real hopeful we'll get free elections.  By Nov I expect more federal gestapo in the cities. challenges to election results and refusal to seat newly elected Demodopes.  I would not be surprised by a major false flag terrorist event here to justify Martial Law in the next 6 months either.
