Droughts that were once a century now happen every year, and the impact on wildlife, industrial output and culture itself is catastrophic
So much for Nukes being the solution for replacing Fossil Fuels. Can't run the reactors if you don't have the water to cool them and to spin the turbines. Still more blackouts coming in still more countries. We've officially arrived at the point on Richard Duncan's Olduvai Graph he theorized we would hit in ~2006.
His timeline appears to be about 20 years early. Of course, in 1989 he didn't know about unconventional Oil so it's an understandable error. If you figure his slope is approximately correct, we would bottom out on electric power around 2050. That doesn't mean Zero electricity everywhere, and chances are the FSoA is one of the last places to go dark, but Global Warfare will tend to level things out. Doubtful FSoA manufacturers can produce enough Patriots to shoot down all the missiles and drones flying around.
On the positive side, I may live long enough to see more of my predictions come true.😀
