I agree. But we aren't talking about the well educated, older privileged white male perspective that the 3 posters here represent. I'm talking about APPALACHIA. They don't care about whatever cool theoretical political system the two of you admire, they want to BELEIVE. They want to be TOLD the RESULTS they'll get if they just vote the right way, or for the right person. And yes, they HAVE been promised "free stuff" already, so they are semi-innoculated against that angle right out of the gate.

Previous article disputing that point already provided by those who have lived through it. You have an idea of what might be, people who have already seen it play out know better, which is why the article I provided was quite reasonable. And completely undisputed by the two of you.

Do either you, me or K-Dog lack these things? You are somewhat more limited than those of us with all our limbs, but have any of the 3 of us been deprived of any of these?

The Nordic model, mentioned here before, is still capitalist. And puts quite a financial burder on their citizens in order to run it. Ask K-Dog or myself how we feel about a huge increase in GovCo taking away our hard earned income from our personal abilities for handouts to those folks in Appalachia. Or inner city areas.

The last time I even dared suggest that well off folks like K-Dog and I should be burdened with additional taxes and costs to make socialism come true and he became quite upset that WE would targeted, rather than the people he WANTED targeted. The oligarchs.

Rules for thee, but not for me!

Works fine maybe for anything under Dunbar's number.

Quote from: REAre you saying a "Civilized" society isn't capable of doing what a "Primitive" bunch of people who lived here before the Europeans invaded Turtle Island"

I'm saying that Dunbars number matters. And if modern Homo Sapiens want to go back to a Native American lifestyle....well...okay by me. But that isn't what you and K-Dog are advocating for is it? Buffalo hunting, indigenious people health care, living conditions in the woodlands or Great Plains?
