The Mayans & Aztecs were Ag-Slave civilizations, with all the concommitant problems. Far as conflict between tribes, yes that's usually there but much more limited in scope. Far as the North American tribes are concerned, it mostly occurred when the Europeans forced one group off their land and they moved onto land another tribe occupied. We're not talking about inter-tribal conflict, but intra-tribal distribution of wealth.
Far as numbers go, in 16-1700 there were estimated to be 25,000 Sioux, 30,000 Huron, 50,000 Apache, 30,000 Navajo. 2 orders of magnitude above Dunbar's number. Your knowledge of anthropology is pathetic.
