You can file this in the Misery Loves Company folder.  Apparently the Aussies Down Under as in the same pickle as their Yank formerly middle class counterparts, running harder every day just to stay in place.  I found this old thread about psychological Depression (as opposed to the economic kind) here in the FSoA to drop it into as further evidence of psychological effect of the civilization collapse.

I think for the vast majority of average J6Ps, life has become an ever more pointless grind. Sure there are still a few people living the American (or Aussie) Dream with high 6 or 7 figure incomes.  Life is just fine for the Billionaires too.  For the 1%, life has never been better, at least not since the heady years when the Sun never set on the British Empire.  You can even add Flying Cars to the list of toys the rich can keep themselves entertained with these days.

For the rest of us however, there's a lot to be said for the advice of Timothy Leary.  Tune in, Turn On & Drop Out.

'The fatigue is not only real, it is absolutely legitimate': why are so many of us so tired right now?
