It pretty much guarantees a Trump victory in the election.

Yes, inches away from infamy. Crooks misses.  Life is stranger than fiction, and Crooks dies a failure.  I wonder if the thought went through his head before it was exploded by the secret service just how much he fucked up.  I doubt it.

The thing is, Trump is not worth taking out.  Trump is not the problem.  American voters are the problem.  With Trump gone you still have the MAGA army of ignorance who will soon enough find a new leader eager to do their thinking for them.

Twilight of empire is what it is.  The Zeitgeist of a necrotic society will not cultivate civic or social responsibility.  For every saint the troubles of collapse may cultivate, a hundred broken men and women are made by the same troubles.  This ensures chaos will rule.  The century of the self now cultivates a century of death.

Why does the Secret Service find it necessary to kill him on the spot when he almost surely could have been non-fatally wounded?

Fascism rules by brute force.  Taking a shooter OUT is TOP priority.  It sends the appropriate message and if any bystanders are taken out that is totally acceptable and will result in ZERO disciplinary action regardless of how reckless and unnecessary taking Crooks out may have been.  Taking the shooter out is the standing order.  You can be sure of it.  Murder by police is NOT a crime in America.

Crooks was taken out because everybody knows, that is how it goes.

I'm lucky I wasn't taken out when I flipped George Bush the bird.  Would I do it again?

No, the risk/reward is not worth it.

With Trump gone the FSOA is still the FSOA.  With Trump gone the FSOA still collapses. So the shooting was a stupid thing for Crook's to do.  Blow-back makes Crook's effort worse than counterproductive.  But what does a 20 year old know?

The William McKinley assassination was done by an 'anarchist' 1901.  In the aftermath fear of anarchists led to surveillance programs which were eventually consolidated in 1908 as the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  Anti-anarchist laws passed in the wake of the McKinley assassination lay dormant for some years before being used during and after World War I, against non-citizens whose views were deemed a threat.

Down the road Crook's failure may result in the Diner getting put out of business.  The Secret Service is our largest fan.  That is not my imagination.  I really did give George Bush the finger, and I was standing in front of our car when I did it.  Next to our front license plate.  They knew who I was before I got home.

The thrill of victory or the agony of defeat.  Neither which Crooks knows.  Because he no longer exists.

You wonder that Crooks was taken out.  In the old days Crooks would have been disemboweled, and while still alive, he would enjoy watching his intestines being burnt in a fire.  When that happens I suppose you figure out you are driving down a one way street.  Cul-de-sac ahead.  You just want it over.  Which happens after you were hung, but not hung until you were dead.  As you were cut into four pieces after four horses tried to pull you apart you expired.  My description may not have all the steps in the right order.  I do not care.  It was unpleasant.

Modernity does away with the drawing and quartering.  The public cruelty of the old days had a serious drawback.  It sent a message of terror well enough, it kept people in line.  It quashed the rebellious spirit.  But it also fostered discontent and made martyrs of people.

Modernity knows the better approach is to blow the brains out.  End the story.  Then a would-be hero becomes nothing.  Not even a legend in their own mind.  A forgotten footnote of history.  Soon enough to be erased for all time after the FSOA falls and all the  digital footnotes vanish.

Leon Czolgosz's his name is in books.  Leon was taken alive after shooting McKinley.  After his execution Leon's body was dissolved in acid, but it will take centuries before his name is gone from all the books it is printed in.  Crooks does not get his name in a book.  His memory will last as only as long as the power stays on.  I do not think encyclopedias are printed any more.

The FBI is having trouble trying to understand what motivated Thomas Matthew Crooks to try and assassinate Trump.

From people who knew him.

"He was super smart. That's what really kind of threw me off was, this was, like, a really, really smart kid, like he excelled," the classmate said. "Nothing crazy ever came up in any conversation."

One would think the FBI would be smart too.  They are all college graduates, smart in this sort of way themselves.



But apparently the mental horsepower to solve this riddle is lacking.  Despite being given the answer.  They can't seem to figure it out.


Maybe they should ask a Diner.  This is not a hard question.

At least somebody in the MSM is asking the relevant questions.  Will we get any reasonable answers to these questions?  The whole thing stinks so bad it's like the 3 Stooges do Conspiracy movie.  Its definitely the kind of thing a really dumb bunch of right wing yahoos would plan, except for the part where Trumpsky gets the Bloody Ear.  That can't actually be from a bullet, the shooter wouldn't have put the bullets anywhere near him.  So that part takes an insider, or fantastic luck with a shard of glass from the teleprompter hitting him.  Supposedly the Secret Service was aware of the shooter on the roof 20 minutes before it happened.  That also seems incredible.

So far there is ZIPPO from the FBI.  Which means they probably know something but haven't figured out how to spin it yet.

On top of this insanity, Uncle Joe was just diagnosed with CoVid.  It's becomiing surreal.

Uncle Joe finally Capitulated!  He has now endorsed Kamala Harris as his Heir Apparent.

Will the Demodopes close ranks and line up behind Kamala, or will the convention be a wild melee with other pretenders to the throne throwing their hats in the ring?

Assuming Kamala gets the nod, how does she stack up against Trumpovetsky?  One has to figure she'll win the Women's vote and the Black/Latino vote.

This result is probably the best outcome the Dems could have wished for, and Uncle Joe's collapsse in the debate turned out to be a good thing for them, IF they line up behind Kamala.  If they start duking it out at the convention, it's anther story.

True, chuckleheads are everywhere.  They will be sure to back her.  It might surprise you to know that most women and Black/Latinos might expect more than Kamala word salad from a candidate.  Making it to the top of the heap starting out as Willie Brown's side piece does not bode well.

I think Kamala's accomplishments amount to crickets.  Someone please prove me wrong.


Can she keep us out of war better than the ear?  Her behavior as a prosecutor suggests an instigator of trouble.  As a prosecutor innocence did not concern her, numbers of black men sent to jail did.

Live #763 - Biden is Out, but is Psycho Kamala in?

I confess I am a Maupin fan.  Caleb has had a hard on about Kamala since the first time he heard her giggle. Point being he knows stuff.

If you want to skip the intro jump to seven minutes even up.  Then Caleb spends a couple minutes justifying stirring the pot before he stirs the pot.

Caleb Maupin examines the life of Kamala Harris, and puts her rise to prominence in the context of changing US political discourse and the geopolitical stage. The book draws heavily from Marxism-Leninism, as well as psychology and economics, examining the roots of the crisis in the United States, as well as factors that contributed to Kamala Harris' career.

Very good book. Many sources and quotes. Well written. Clear and to the point but theoretically strong and empirically founded analysis. An interesting and insightful combination of cultural, economical, political and psychological analysis. Maupin does not just list events in isolation as historians generally do but he gives true insight into a social milieu, his style somewhat reminded me of Isaac Deutscher. Definitely worth a read.

Biden may be asleep, but at least he isn't a psychotic maniac driven by hatred of their father. Kamala Harris, in her rage against the oppression of dads everywhere, is willing to nuke dads everywhere, make no mistake about it. A Kamala Harris presidency is unprecedented, never before has someone so fundamentally screwed in the head been this close to the presidency without ANY say by the American people.

Harris was characterized by her mercilessness during her time as a leading prosecutor. She famously fought against the release of DNA evidence and pushed for the death penalty for a black man who was later found completely innocent.

I admit to being completely clueless about KH and her history in politics or as a prosecutor.  I definitely would have preferred the Lady Obamanator, but I do grasp the reasons why Uncle Joe had to choose her as his successor.  It reaffirms his choice of her as Veep, where she was always just a bullet or a heart attack away from becoming POTUS anytime over the last 4 years.  Financially also, since she was already on the ticket, she's the only one who can legally take over the campaign war chest of money already raised.  It's also important for the Dems to show Unity and not have the convention devolve into bickering over a bunch of wannabees, so it's probably a done deal and we just gotta see how she shapes up if she beats Bloody Ear.

The one positive I see is that she probably stands the best chance for getting a Constitutional Ammendment to legalize Abortion again, since after the SCOTUS struck down Roe v. Wade that's the only way to get that problem fixed.  I'm not real concerned about her other positions on Wokeism and who gets to use what bathrooms, although I would like to see the Trannies kicked out of Women's Sports and Prisons.

On the MOST important area of Economics I suspect it's hopeless and we will just get more of the same failed policies in the banking and real estate sectors that are responsible for the housing crisis and wealth transfer to the rich, so that will remain a mess whoever gets elected.  She'll probably also be another knee-jerk supporter of Israel & Ukraine given her connection to Uncle Joe.

Anyhow, at least hopefully she can stay awake during press conferences.
