The article doesn't state the OBVIOUS problem, which is that the Demodope party is just as captured by the rich as the Repugnants.  They have no economic plan which confronts the growing inequality, affordable housing, homelessness, skyrocketing health care costs and student debt.  On top of that, thy are spineless in standing up to Trump and Musk.

If Trump lasts the full 4 years, there won't be much left of Democracy, and short of a military Coup d'Etat I doubt they could get him out of the White House.  He'll start a war with Iran or Russia just to declare Martial Law.

Somebody better stand up soon or the wrecking ball that is The Trumperator will have destroyed the entire country, if not the world.

Not only was Musk able to cancel his social security, they drained his bank account.

Under the influence of ketamine, Elon could become convinced that Social Security is a massive scam, imagining that millions of deceased people are secretly collecting checks. He could take to Twitter (now X) with an all-caps post:

"BREAKING: Social Security is a Ponzi scheme! Dead people are getting paid!! AI-powered ghost accounts are draining the system!! #EndTheScam"

In reality, Social Security fraud is minor. But Musk will fixate on misinformation, amplifying baseless ideas into full-fledged delusions to further his cause.  Delusion rapidly hammered into belief.  From a man of privilege, what else do you expect.  You expect Leopards to change spots?  Musk has not known limits.  Combine no limits with a mind out of control and somebody is going to get hurt.

Believing in exaggerated or unfounded claims is a sign of impaired judgment, whether due to drug effects, or from growing up racist in South Africa.  That, or unfounded claims are lies from the lips of a snake.

Trump is a cretin.  I went to a first rate public school on par with ANY private school.  In the sixth-fucking grade I learned that the president had the tariff power.  One of the few powers a president actually has beyond being chief influencer with a pen who can't really make laws on his own.  All the president can legally do is slow laws down with a veto.  Congress made laws, or used to.  If half of the adults understood tariffs, and presidential power they would understand what is going on.  Like women who all know what this means:

  Tariff because that is all you really got.

Sixth fucking grade gave me the knowledge that Trump tariffs just because he can, and for no other reason.

Now I am cursed to walk the earth in a country where alleged adults have less knowledge of our government than I did in the sixth grade.  Does this make me feel superior?  NO, it actually sucks.  Idiocracy is now.
