World hunger, which declined from 2005 to 2014, has begun to rise. China eradicated extreme poverty in 2020 is an exception to a global trend. World hunger is now at 2010 levels. One in three people in the world (2.37 billion) did not have access to adequate food in 2020. This is an increase of 320 million people in only one year.
