The Tesla is a drop in replacement for ICE cars.  The original idea behind electric carz was to build a car that was less impactful on the environment.  Musk gave no two shits about that, and I have always hated Teslas for not forging the right path.  Teslas are the product of a techno-narcissist capitalist racist fascist, who never had the thought of a 'people's car' in his head.  Actual thought does not come easy for the man.

Fuck Musk.

The idea in my dreams was for society to adjust to a machine with a limited range.  But anybody who appreciated that aspect kept it to themselves, and after enough blank looks I shut up.  People will not hear of limits until they are too loud to ignore.  The idea of accepting less to get more goes over the heads of most people like jets over a vast ocean.  Almost out of sight.


Reduced range on carz would also have generated public transportation that was worth something.

It would be a limited lifestyle, but life would have gone on with just as much happiness for a lot longer.  Better than no carz, which will happen when people can't get gas.
