Pakistan Attacks in Kunar Displace Thousands, Destroy Homes
Following Pakistani attacks in Afghanistan’s Kunar province, an estimated 9,000 families have been displaced from their homes. Many have sought refuge in the provincial center, where they are living in dire conditions along riverbanks. Exposed to rain and open air, these displaced families are relying on makeshift tents and are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
Reports indicate that Pakistan has not respected the principles of warfare in its operations. Repeated strikes in several districts of Kunar have reportedly resulted in approximately 100 deaths.
