    The world needs more hectarage of forests to remove excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Can rehabilitation of deserts be the answer? Can the ‘Flying Rivers’ play any role?

    If the title seems a little nuts, that is because it is.  The article is actually a good introduction to the water cycle in the atmosphere that forests maintain.  The nuts part is there to hint at the positive feedback loop that keeps moisture in the air.  That is what the talk of rivers is about.
