The Closure of the Internet
Between 2015 and 2022, the internet transformed from an open forum into a heavily censored space via coordinated platform policies and a para-state network of governments, NGOs, and fact-checkers. This campaign suppressed conservative voices, stifled intellectual diversity, failed politically, and entrenched permanent algorithmic surveillance.
Way too much information. It makes what RE used to put out look lame. I could not read everything. In a way that is an unintended form of censorship. My attention span.
If money does not start calling the shots egos do. And did. The enshitification of the net.
Truth be told, often diversity really does not like diversity. Not one bit. Most everyone thinks their strokes are the right strokes. No matter how different their strokes may be. Mostly everyone thinks their particular freak flag should be the national flag.
