The Constitution gives states the power to decide voter qualifications. Congress can only regulate when and where we vote, and polling place rules.  The SAVE Act doesn't just set rules.  It creates a nationwide citizenship requirement that states cannot change or adjust. That's not regulating an election.  The SAVE Act takes power away from states that is given by the Constitution.  Power which congress does not have.

Trump says he will issue executive order to get voter-ID requirements before midterms

"The Democrats refuse to vote for Voter I.D., or Citizenship. The reason is very simple — They want to continue to cheat in Elections," Trump posted to Truth Social.

"This was not what our Founders desired. I have searched the depths of Legal Arguments not yet articulated or vetted on this subject, and will be presenting an irrefutable one in the very near future. There will be Voter I.D. for the Midterm Elections, whether approved by Congress or not!" he continued.

In a second post, published minutes after the first, Trump said, "If we can't get it through Congress, there are Legal reasons why this SCAM is not permitted. I will be presenting them shortly, in the form of an Executive Order."

Of course he's not gonna let CONgress stop him.  Dictators rule by fiat.  So it's gonna get challenged in court, where at least so far the courts ruled against him trying to screw with election rules, but it hasn't gone to the SCOTUS yet.

Even if they rule against him, that won't stop him from ordering the military to check IDs calling it a National Emergency and threat to National Security.

So bottom line, the chances of free and fair elections in Nov are rapidly dwindling from Slim to NONE.  What happens in the aftermath of that?  Will J6P support a Coup d'Etat or even more messy a popular Revolution?  Is there some other possible political solution or compromise?  Inquiring minds want to know.
