I was not happy hear about the assassination attempt.  Disappointed that there were deaths, and not disappointed that the golden lion only had to cash in one of his 9 lives.

Then later in the day I remembered this guy.

On 3 January 2020, Qasem Soleimani, an Iranian major general, was killed by an American drone strike near Baghdad International Airport, Iraq, while traveling to meet Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi.

Now the Secret Service yanks our chain.  'They say they' uncovered an Iranian plot to kill Trump in retaliation for Trump killing Soleimani.

Bullshit so outlandish that I hardly can believe the stupidity of it.  A totally lame attempt to cover 'their' ass because someone seems to not have been as diligent as they should have been at the Trump rally.

The last paragraph is :

Iran's mission to the U.N. said in a statement that Trump remains a criminal who must be prosecuted and punished in a court of law for ordering Soleimani's assassination. "Iran has chosen the legal path to bring him to justice," the statement said.

I remembered Trump has blood on his hands, not just his ear.  And what goes around comes around.

Sometimes.

If we were living in a real life episode of the "Sopranos" Trump would have been taken out.  It would not have been a miss.  I observed that everyone who ever killed anyone in the Sopranos always would later get whacked themselves.  Even Tony.  That was the point of the 'Members Only' guy.  He turned off Tony's lights in an ending so realistic some people can't believe the ending.  The Sopranos was a morality play where evil ultimately has consequences in the living by the sword dying by the sword kind of way.  Tony had to go at the end.

If Tony were Trump in real life.  Tony would have enjoyed his order of onion rings and everything would not have blanked out when the bullet hit.
