I will not be a prolific poster. I prefer brevity. Though I do scan a lot of sites just to see what people are up too. The year so far is bad in my area, only 1 1/4 inches of rain so far this year. Roughly the 3rd year of well below rainfall in my area. The pines are dying, some already dead, most of the spruce is ok, but some are now turning brown. I went on a planting binge in 2020, planting all kinds of spruce trees into the lower areas of my property, where I suspect water will settle and the trees will have the best chance for a short life.
I figure I could have about 20 years barring a health event coming out of the blue. My intent now is to just get by as comfortably as I can, where I am. I have little use for people anymore/ all to disappointing. I am largely ready to just sit back and watch the world as a observer now, not a participant.
I  have all the boxes checked, food security, heating, housing, power. Do need to improve my transport options, and am working on that, Currently pulling the motor off a 83 Kawasaki 750 spectre to see if I can turn that into a electric motor bike. Always something to work on at my place. Speaking of which, my place is out in the country, I can pretty much do as I please out here. So long as I pay my property taxes I am not bothered by TPTB.I can't even complain about my property taxes, they are reasonable. I live in Alberta Canada, any other Canadians here? Albertans? That is enough typing for now, back to reading mode for me.

Welcome to the Diner v2.0.  How did you hear about us?

I used to read at the original dinner, then followed over to the 2nd, and now followed over to this one. I think I only signed up here. The original dinner I think just came up in the googler when checking the doomersphere sites.

RE

I see.  Well, nice to hear from you at last.  Better late than never.  :)

We finally have rain, tanks filling up now. I get about 800+ gallons per inch of rain. It will be too late for some of the trees around me but better late than never. So it looks like no other Canadians here? much like other sites, predominately Mericans.

K-Dog

We have a few but they have not been active for a while.

Rural Ontario here. I don't post much though.
