Who is Moloch and What is the MetaCrisis?
Left brain accomplishment of narrow goals  dominated right brain moderation, resulting in a metacrisis.

Moloch is great and demanding.  Moloch demands great sacrifice, but with that sacrifice you get your needs met.  That is the bargain.  Civilization demands much, we are supposed to get our needs met by participating in Molochs abomination of concrete, oil, and steel.

The presenter has clearly been turned on to Iain McGilchrist.  He has an obsession with narrow left brain focus.

Daniel Schmachtenberger and Nate Hagens have been featured in this forum before, and are well know actors in the doom education and intellectual masterbation industry.  Most recently the two were spotted at the Stockholm Impact/Week 2023.  Stockholm Impact Week is an annual Summit hosted by Norrsken, and the City of Stockholm.  Stockholm Impact Week is dedicated to defining critical issues of our time, and enabling solutions to them.

At least talking about it anyway.

My only issue with Daniel and Nate are that they both talk over peoples heads.  Personally I don't have a problem with them as I am reasonably well read.  Whoop de do.  That is my arrogant history.  I shall add a disclaimer, that truly smart men know they are stupid.  I am one who knows I am a dumbass.  But my point is that talking about how left brain thinking got us into the metacrisis does not incite the proletariat to do a damn thing.  The point is to change the world.  The point is not to put people to sleep.

Daniel and Nate I suspect are under the impression that if they turn enough smart people on to the metacrisis, bunnies will hop through meadows.   And all will be good.

Sadly this will not happen.  I'd talk to them about why if I could.  It is an idealistic point of view.  Enough smart people thinking about doom will not stop doom.  Nor does it make society able to deal with how to best deal with collapse.
