Lake Powell hits record low, threatening key water and electricity supply for millions

The alarming milestone at Lake Powell, reached Saturday, comes about a week after the river's other major reservoir, Lake Mead, also hit a historic low. Plummeting water levels pose a major threat to the Colorado River Basin, which is a key resource for wildlife, hydropower and more than 40 million people in seven U.S. states.

I think we need to get beyond "threatening" (which it has been doing since at least the LAST website) and get with "HAPPENING NOW!". People, being general slack jawed and silly, don't face consequences until conseqwuences arrive.

For example, I have decided that a whole house UPS system is a worthwhile investment, in these times of idiot politicians, doomers being forced to turn to normal political asshattery because doom keeps getting delayed by the same things that have been delaying it this entire century, and overarching malaise and existing tax credits and whatnot for being prepared...electrically speaking.
