Depends on how thin someone's skin is I imagine. However, I understand the difference between retired, and "retired". I also understand the difference between a job and a career. It is certainly possible for a professional to be retired from their career, and have a job on the side. So someone with the right qualifications can be both.

Never worried about the world ending.  Been concerned with the progress of industrial civilization collapse for 18 years.
