Besides the obvious further escalation in SA with ground troops, consider the other international implications.  How will the Chinese respond to this?  How about they seize a tanker bound for Taiwan?  Or Japan?  How about the Ruskies?  Maybe blockade the tankers offloading NG in Rotterdam?
