Is this the first AI war?

Artificial intelligence isn't just helping you figure out what to make for dinner. It's deciding who lives and who dies.

QuoteAnthropic's tools were approved for use inside classified systems under an agreement first signed with the Pentagon during the Biden administration. But the company insisted on two 'red lines'.  First, Claude could not be used for mass surveillance of American citizens. Second, it could not control fully autonomous weapons capable of selecting and attacking targets without a human operator.

I look at who is looking at us here and there.  Claude has been connected to the Diner from an Anthropic connection.  If the IP address data can be believed.  Which it can't.

The percentage in America is not 50/50, that would be too generous.  But half the world has a moral compass, and half does not. But both use A.I.  Meaning the barn door is open and can't be closed, and that we are all screwed.

The following article, and many others like it try to pin the loss of American jobs on AI.  That is the tie-in for me putting it here.

Big surprise in the US: employers have made 92,000 jobs disappear, in silence.

U.S. employers removed 92,000 jobs in February, according to the Labor Department's announcement Friday, and losses affect nearly all major sectors.

One of the most popular social networks for Gen Z has announced a fundamental change

Discord, one of the most popular online communication platforms, which has more than 200 million monthly active users, will introduce an age verification system globally. Virtually all users will be considered by default as teenagers, and only those confirmed as adults will be able to change certain settings or access restricted content and functionality. It's a decision that sparked a global debate on the future of the internet.

I never liked Discord, but never mind me I was never a Reddit fan either.  Discord is built for mass surveillance.  Reddit too, but more than that with Reddit is feeling like a minnow lost in a big sea. IMHO.
