This guy just bought a free one way ticket to El Salvador

First real action since the Deportations began.  One hopes for the sake of the protesters arrested they are 3 generation deep white kids.  Preferably with squeaky clean doctor/lawyer/bizman dads.  Otherwise the Trumpenator will drop them on the first plane to El Salvador, never to be heard from again.  They're definitely challenging His Trumpness, so hopefully the organizers were able to recruit some White Bread protesters to staff the action.  Even they are risking a minimum of expulsion.

IF they manage not to get deported, this should encourage more campus protests, which have been pretty well subdued by the fear & intimidation.  Waiting for the blowback from the White House.

Then all three making the arrest should be charged with contempt of court, and bench warrants should be issued in their names.

Apparently, Columbia has hired "enhanced" private security guards who have been given arrest powers.

Hard not to notice that all the protesters arrested in this photograph are FEMALE.  The story fails to mention this salient fact.  Another story I read did mention it.  I think the strategy being employed is that women are less likely to be deported.  Also to demonstrate they are motivated by humanitarian reasons and don''t fit the typical profile of a terrorist in the mind of an Amerikan.  Remains to be seen how his Trumpness deals with this.

Harvard should just move to Canada.  Or maybe New Zealand since Trumpolini will annex the Hosers.

Time to see just how powerful the Harvard alumni really are.

Harvard is the educational bastion of the upper class.  Harvard is 'old' money.  I searched for info on 'Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification', and the idea that Harvard is violating rules is ludicrous.

In the fall of empires the rich eat their own.  In America there is a lot of old money for the Trump team to eat.

If I had a time machine I'd send Kristi Noem back about 500,000 years.  Back to where she belongs.  Send her back to when homo heidelbergensis cannibals hunted competing tribes for food with stone tools, wooden spears, and chipped flint scraping tools.  Note the resemblance, she would fit in.  Fucking dog killer.

She and Marjorie Taylor Green have the cave woman look.

Yup. The oldest money in the FSoA.  Founded 140 years before the FSoA.  Founded before the Dutch founded New Amsterdam, later to be renamed New York when the English took it over.  Most SCOTUS justices by far, 22 to 11 from Yale.

The main question here is whether they are gonna stick to the legal system or fix things the old fashioned way?

Well, Trumpolini is certainly keeping the lawyers bizzy.  Nice to be able to get your lawsuit heard in Federal Court the next day.  So now how will His Trumpness re-retaliate?  Can we just skip all these steps and go straight to the Black Bag Squad?  This bizzness is getting old.

This is fabulously convenient logic.  Define immigration as a National Security issue.  Thus, anywhere there are immigrants, NS is threatened.  The POTUS is responsible for protecting the NS with military force if he deems it necessary.  Therefore, the POTUS can deploy the military anywhere there are immigrants, which is everywhere but concentrated in Blue state Big Shities.  Thus the POTUS can deploy military troops to patrol all Big Shities.  This is the precedent that Trumpolini is setting, and the SCOTUS probably will buy it.

I'll bet His Trumpness deploys a unit of Marines to protect every ICE detention center and dispatch office complete with the grunts carrying M-16s loaded with full metal jacket ammo to deter the graffiti artists.  Pretty soon the FSoA will look like  Chile under Pinochet.

That is why he has them sleeping on floors, to push them over the edge.  He only needs one to flip out if the camera angle is right.

Looks like FL is destined to be the Buchenwald of the FSoA.  They don't even need Gas Chambers and Ovens.  Just feed the immigrants to the alligators.  Or alternatively, deport them to a war zone.

Together, this should pretty effectively shut down the inflow of refugees, since I doubt many want to risk ending up even worse off then they are in their home countries.  Gonna be pretty hard to find dishwashers and lettuce pickers though.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is using a new mobile phone app that can identify someone based on their fingerprints or face by simply pointing a smartphone camera at them. The underlying system used for the facial recognition component of the app is ordinarily used when people enter or exit the U.S. Now, that system is being used inside the U.S. by ICE to identify people in the field.

The news highlights the Trump administration's growing use of sophisticated technology for its mass deportation efforts and ICE's enforcement of its arrest quotas. The document also shows how biometric systems built for one reason can be repurposed for another, a constant fear and critique from civil liberties proponents of facial recognition tools.

"Face recognition technology is notoriously unreliable, frequently generating false matches and resulting in a number of known wrongful arrests across the country. Immigration agents relying on this technology to try to identify people on the street is a recipe for disaster.

Congress has never authorized DHS to use face recognition technology in this way, and the agency should shut this dangerous experiment down," Nathan Freed Wessler, deputy director of the American Civil Liberties Union's Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, told 404 Media in an email.

Big surprise.  Of course the Fed investigators will find Harvard is antisemiitic, since it's the Fed that is making the accusation.  Real impartiality here. Not.  The whole concept is absurd, since probably 3/4s of the STEM professors who aren't Chinese are Jewish.  As long as Israel continues to successfully define being anti-Israeli policy as automatically making you antisemitic this stupidity will continue.  That canard has to be deconstructed and hammered on in every speech by everybody concerned with Palestinian genocide.  The Isaeli state is the #1 Terrorist organization in the world, far more violent and deadly than Hamas.  Their body count exceeds Hamas by at least 2 orders of magnitude.

Trumpolini is giving ICE a budget of $200B to set up one of these DEATH CAMPS in every state!  Forget needing gas chambers and ovens, disease & malnutrition will  do the job of killing the desaperecido, and they can dispose of the meat packages feeding the alligators in the swamp.  Virtually no oversight and no medical care on site with access only by plane.  The Trumpenator makes Hitler look like an amateur.  Barely a ripple of outrage from the average Amerikan.  Clearly we now know that morality is the leading edge of civilization collapse.

First Amendment advocates say they've never seen freedom of speech under attack the way it has been in Trump's second term.

Trump has threatened Democratic members of Congress with investigation for criticizing conservatives, pulled federal grants that include language it opposes, sanctioned law firms that represent Trump's political opponents and arrested the organizer of student protests that Trump criticized as "anti-Semitic, and anti-American.

And that is what we know about.  What the Heritage Foundation is doing is far more than what we know about.

Your right to say something depends on what the administration thinks of it, and this is no free speech at all

Who does it.

Russell Vought (Director of the Office of Management and Budget)
Oversees federal spending and agency budgets, including defunding programs deemed to engage in "anti-conservative censorship."
Pushed to revoke federal advertising dollars from platforms like YouTube if they were accused of bias, leveraging the "Restoring Free Speech" executive order (Jan. 2025) to cut taxpayer funding for "censorship-enabling" entities.

Stephen Miller (Deputy Chief of Staff)
Architect of hardline immigration and culture-war policies.  Advocated for using the "Take It Down Act" (pending in Congress as of 2025) to pressure platforms to remove content critical of Trump, including under broad definitions of "non-consensual intimate imagery".

Pam Bondi (Attorney General)
Led DOJ efforts to challenge tech platforms' moderation policies.
Investigated YouTube under antitrust and Section 230 reform proposals, arguing its moderation constituted "anti-conservative editorial control" 69.
Supported lawsuits against platforms for "censorship," mirroring Trump's 2021 lawsuits against Facebook and Google.

John Ratcliffe (CIA Director)
Expanded surveillance and counter-misinformation programs.
Pressured platforms to remove content labeled "foreign disinformation," which critics argued targeted left-leaning and anti-Trump voices disproportionately.

Kevin Roberts (Heritage Foundation President)
Primary author of Project 2025, which called for reclassifying social media as "common carriers" to limit their moderation powers.
Lobbied for Schedule F to replace federal tech regulators with Trump loyalists who would enforce stricter speech controls.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.
