Whatever happened to Tom Lehrer?

His satirical political folk songs back in the 60s were hilarious.  I had both his albums as a kid, and I have used the videos from YT here on the Diner many times.  Always figured he died young.  Turns out he just didn't want the fame or money.  It's a tragedy, because he was an amazing talent.
