It's true the courts won't save us. The judges who won't rollover will be left to enforce their rulings at a time when Trump controls DOJ, the FBI and thousands of brownshirts itching for stochastic terrorism.

I figure 80% of Americans are class traitors.  It is what comes from living in dreamland.

As usual, Bernie is saying the right things and making an effort to push back in the Class War, which as Warren Buffett noted, "the rich are winning".  I am dubious about his potential for success with building a grassroots movement though.

Problem 1 of course is activism is out of style for most Amerikans,and most of them areoverwhelmed with just trying to get by.  They don't want to risk what little they have in any kind of action.

Beyond that is Bernie himself.  Although his politics are good, he's another geriatric.  What a new movement needs is a charismatic young leader who Millenials and Gen Z can follow.  Boomers need to get out of politics and make way for GenXers or later to step up to the plate.  Unfortunately, Boomers have held onto the positions of power so long, nobody from succeeeding generations has even had a chance to get known politically.

Anyhow. at least this sets up an organization to rally arouund.  Just have to see where it goes.

Border Patrol arrest two firefighters battling a wildfire in Washington State

Two firefighters were reportedly arrested by border patrol agents while fighting the Bear Gulch fire in Washington State.
Federal agents were on the scene checking the identities of contractor crews hired to battle the fire.
Firefighters spoke anonymously to local media about the incident.

Two people fighting the Bear Gulch fire on the Olympic Peninsula were arrested by federal law enforcement Wednesday, in a confrontation described by firefighters and depicted in photos and video.

Why the two firefighters were arrested is unclear. But a spokesperson for the Incident Management Team leading the firefighting response said the team was "aware of a Border Patrol operation on the fire," that it was not interfering with the firefighting response and referred reporters to the Border Patrol station in Port Angeles.

Over three hours, federal agents demanded identification from the members of two private contractor crews. The crews were among the 400 people including firefighters deployed to fight the wildfire, the largest active blaze in Washington state.

Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday about the confrontation.

It is unusual for federal border agents to make arrests during the fighting of an active fire, especially in a remote area.
