My prickdom mostly originated in this century. Do you know how affronted PhD's can get when you dismantle their research that has stood for more than a quarter century? But once you pull back the curtain on the Wizard of Oz and his tricks, you do gain quite a bit credibility among the more uppity educated types. Or maybe they just don't want someone putting a laser focus on their fields of study next?

Yes, I realize the analogy is somewhat flawed.   However in this case, the CURRENT goobermint is fascist, so the coup sponsors would seek a socialist goobermint to replace it.  Wouldn't be the same sponsors of course, since Smedley's backers are all long dead by now.

Not sure who they should install though.  I don't think there's a modern equivalent of Smedley Butler in the military.
