Trump 101 :

When a venture fails, the narrative is shifted so that the focus isn't on the loss, but on the "deal" made during the exit or the "lesson" learned for the next move.  Then you blame it on someone else.

How we got here: Inside Pakistan’s backchannel diplomacy that led to the US-Iran ceasefire

Diplomacy does its best work when no one is looking. In calls that stretch for hours, in proposals dismissed publicly but refined privately, in capitals that deny mediation even as they pass messages.

U.S. Must Choose Between Ceasefire or Continuing War via Israel

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, said that the ceasefire terms between his country and the United States are clear and explicit.  Araghchi added that the U.S. must choose between a ceasefire or continuing the war “via Israel,” because, according to him, “it cannot have both.”

Iran claims Israeli ceasefire violations as it appears to maintain control over Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Fars news agency said Wednesday that tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz was being "suspended" over Israel's continuing attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

That lasted long. NOT! lol.

I didn't think Netanyahoo would be able to keep his gunz holstered very long.

On the upside, the jawboning got the price of oil below $100 for a day and 2 tankers got thru!

RE

Netanyahoo has Trump bent over.  Nothing stopped for Israel.  Israel wants America to fight it's war.

Iran war live: Israel kills 254 in Lebanon after US-Iran agree ceasefire

Israel has bombed locations across Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, in devastating attacks that authorities say have killed at least 254 people and wounded more than 1,165.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier said that Lebanon would not be included in the ceasefire.

Scene: Oval Office. TRUMP sits behind the Resolute Desk, phone on speaker. BIBI's voice, calm and amused.

BIBI: So just to be clear — you threatened to wipe Iran off the map. Big words. Very big. Then your advisors told you it would end your political career. So you accepted their ceasefire terms. Their terms, Donald.

TRUMP (waving hand, not at phone): Tremendous ceasefire. Best ceasefire anyone's ever seen. Iran blinked. Ask anyone. They were begging. Total begging.

BIBI: They got everything they wanted. You got nothing. Except photo ops.  Lots of them.

TRUMP: I got great ratings. Biggest ratings. Iran knows who's boss.

BIBI: Sure. Anyway — we're continuing in Lebanon. Hezbollah still exists. So we're leveling a few more villages. Hundreds dead so far. Violates the ceasefire, but I don't care. We are only killing animals.

TRUMP (frowning slightly, then brightening): That's your thing. Your Bibi thing. I don't get involved in the details. The hotels on the strip will be grand. Lots of gold everywhere.

BIBI: No, you don't. But the world will say you're the guarantor of this ceasefire. And we're breaking it. That makes you my bitch.  Don't forget.

TRUMP (interrupting): It makes me a very stable genius who gave Israel incredible flexibility. Unprecedented flexibility. Nobody's ever seen flexibility like this.

BIBI: That's one word for it. The press is using a different word. Starts with "c."

(Long pause. TRUMP shifts in his chair.)

TRUMP (quietly, to no one): They're saying that again.

BIBI: It's true, Donald. You threaten. You bluster. You pose for the cameras. Then I do what I want, and you tell the world how beautiful it is. Now send more bombs. We're low on the ones that go through concrete. The big strong ones.  You know you like it.

TRUMP (perking up): The bunker busters? Best bombs. Beautiful bombs. I'll get some from Japan for you. But you gotta say I was tough. Made you promise me they will be used for peace.

BIBI: You're the toughest cuck I've ever seen.

TRUMP (like an F-15 streaking high in a desert sky, Bibi's jab goes over his head): Thank you. Very nice. Very strong.

(BIBI hangs up. TRUMP looks at the phone, then at an aide who stands stiffly near by.)

TRUMP: He loves me. You heard all that, right? Total respect.

AIDE (deadpan): Yes, Mr. President.

TRUMP: Get Canada on the phone. Their high and mighty asses are complaining about the noise again.

White House claims Iran ‘backed down’ in ceasefire deal as talks with US set to begin

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters the president’s approach forced Iran to change course.

Trump can't tell Bibi to keep it in his pants.  This is embarrassing.  America the submissive, does not know a safe word to make this rough nightmare stop.  All America does is tell the bitch to lie.  Nobody must see the mess behind the door.

Trump thinks he's the one holding the leash, but the only thing he's actually holding is the bag while Bibi takes the house, the car, and America's dignity on the run.  Leaving Trump in a golden collar.

“This is our land. We are not here as guests; we are not here temporarily,” Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana said at the inauguration ceremony.

Israel’s military achievements since the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas-led invasion will ultimately be accompanied at the political level by the expansion of the nation’s borders in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.

Being as American taxpayers fund this project, can I please have a brick with my name on one of the rebuilt bridges when the new greater Israel rebuilds the Litani River bridges they blew up into the new territory.

Rich donors to hospitals and civic projects in America can get their names on bricks to build 'donor' walls, brick paths and such as part of the final project.  American taxpayers should get the same perks for building the greater Israel.  Seems only fair.

As silent partners in Levantine civil engineering we deserve recognition.

With a Fragile Ceasefire under Threat, What Future for the Strait of Hormuz?

The U.S.-Israeli war with Iran prompted Tehran to close the Strait of Hormuz, allowing only selected ships to pass through. In this Q&A, Crisis Group experts Yasmine Farouk, Chris Newton and Ali Vaez consider what could come next in this vital maritime trade corridor.

Long and fairly complete analysis of the options and difficulties involved in reopening Hormuz.  Upshot-it ain't gonna happen anytime soon.  Price wise, thusfar the price rise has been mostly speculative, actual shortage of product only exists in a few places.  In roughly a month, stockpiles will be depleted and physical shortage will start a bidding war.  The sky's the limit there and demand destruction will begin in earnest.  People will start dying in the poor countries of the world.  The real effects of Peak Oil will finally start setting in.

Trump says U.S. will blockade Strait of Hormuz and intercept ships that paid tolls to Iran

President Trump said on Sunday that the U.S. Navy will begin blockading ships from entering or exiting the Strait of Hormuz and intercept vessels that have paid tolls to Iran, after marathon talks in Pakistan failed to yield an agreement to end the war.

Well, who does this most affect besides Iran?  The Chinese.  So what happens if the Chinese send some boats to escort the tankers through the Straight?  Will the FSoA boats fire at the Chinese boats?

Trump's blockade threat raises risks and leaves predicaments unchanged

After a diplomatic team led by Vice-President JD Vance tried, and failed, to reach a negotiated agreement to end the US war with Iran on Saturday, President Donald Trump had to decide his next move.

Jesus Fuckng Christ. There is no point trying to find pretzel 🥨 logic that can explain what Trumolini is doing.

As crazy as wiping out a civilization this is.

Trump acts like a toddler again.  If I can't have the oil, nobody can.  Iran was blockading Hormuz using missiles and drones.  Soooo.... Trump is going to do the same thing using ships.  Save Iran the effort of blocking the straight, and Russian Oil is going to be selling for so god-damn much that Trump won't have to worry about that two minute sex Tape that Putin bought from Epstein.  This new blockade is different from the old blockade the way Chicago and Deep Dish Pizza are different.  Trump's behavior is total infantile.  A temper tantrum with a global scream.  Everyone is fucked over by this infant.

That Vance could not negotiate his way out of a paper bag is no surprise.  He blew it.  A chance to steal the show.  He could have been a contender.

The fool directly mirrors the same Iranian tactics he spent the last six weeks condemning.

What the closure of the Strait of Hormuz means for the global economy

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz following the outbreak of military conflict with Iran on Feb. 28, 2026, is the latest example of a geopolitically driven oil supply disruption. Recent Federal Reserve Bank research quantifies the potential effects on global output, allowing detailed analysis of a range of scenarios.

Clear insanity.

Reptilian Repetition in Trump's Diplomacy: Make threats, then talk. I don't mean to insult reptiles. But the Trump approach is what lower life forms and bullies do.

President Trump's approach to international relations, particularly with Iran and previously with North Korea, involves a consistent pattern of aggressive rhetoric followed by attempts at diplomatic engagement.

Trump's Playbook: Trump follows a predictable pattern where he uses aggressive language and threats before attempting diplomacy.

How Trump’s Iran strikes doomed his North Korea strategy

Trump, who sold himself as the answer to deadlock on the Korean peninsula, has sabotaged his chances of a breakthrough by attacking Iran.

This approach was seen in his dealings with North Korea, and it appears to be repeating with Iran.

A: Reptilian Repetition: The strategy relies on the repetitive use of similar tactics, banking on others' short attention spans to overlook the pattern. It starts with a threat.

BROOKINGS.EDU2018-10-05

Commentary Let’s get realistic on North Korea and Iran

There’s a common thread that runs through the Trump administration’s approaches to North Korea and Iran. It’s a lack of realism about what can be achieved with available leverage.

By making repeated threats, Trump aims to create a familiar dynamic that he can manipulate to his advantage.

B: Pivot to making demands. In 2017, after threatening "total destruction" against North Korea, Trump became the first U.S. president to meet with a North Korean leader.

100 Days of the Trump Administration’s Foreign Policy: Global Chaos, American Weakness, and Human Suffering.

In only 100 days, the Trump administration has wrought chaos around the world and weakened the United States’ place in it, leaving the American people and billions of others worldwide to pay the price

Despite the lack of substantive outcomes, North Korea gained international legitimacy without giving up its nuclear weapons.

C: Get the opponent to concede or repeat from step A. Trump's words are designed to provoke a reaction, and potentially force the other party into backing down due to the threat.

CFR.ORG2026-01-01

America Revived

The United States faces the most dangerous international circumstances since the end of World War II, and perhaps in its history.

This simple strategy attempts to use the specter of force to achieve diplomatic goals.

Trump is unfamiliar with :

Quote
Do not repeat the tactics which have gained you one victory, but let your methods be regulated by the infinite variety of circumstances

Trump's recent actions towards Iran follow a well-established pattern that he has used before with North Korea. His aggressive rhetoric and threats are not accidental but rather part of a calculated strategy aimed at forcing his opponents into concessions through the perceived strength of "big talk."

Which from an American President or any other mature adult is childish and stupid. It is what bullies do. It is also too kind to refer to the strategy as calculated since it is only a pattern that repeats with little variation. A pattern that is easily seen by an opponent, violating another maxim from 'The Art Of War."

US-Sanctioned Tanker Linked To China Tests Trump Blockade With Hormuz Transit

This exit from the Persian Gulf is a second attempt for the carrier in less than 24 hours. Just as the blockade came into effect, Rich Starry was making its way into the narrow waterway near Iran's Qeshm Island and turned back - only to restart its exit just hours later, broadcasting that it has a Chinese owner and crew. This is a safety mechanism frequently used by vessels, but will test US resolve to challenge vessels tied to the world's largest oil importer.

That answers the question of what Trumpolini would do if the boat was protected by the Chinese.  TACO TIME! 😛  Xi doesn't even need to send a gunboat to escort the tanker.
