Israeli strikes target Iran’s petrochemical facilities

The US-Israeli strikes targeted civilian and energy infrastructure, including the South Pars petrochemical complex and multiple airports, claiming several lives while at least four Israelis were killed when an Iranian missile hit Haifa overnight tearing a building apart.

America works all day, pays all the bills, takes all the heat from the neighbors, and then watches Israel do whatever it wants with their military. When Israel bombs a target America didn't like? Israel tells him "Oh, you're getting cold feet now? After everything I've done for you?" America sighs, re-ups the Iron Dome funding, tells the UN to look away, and America's military hopes for a happy ending of its own.  Praying for release.

America even moved its embassy to Jerusalem.  That's like buying a apartment next to your partner's ex and you be working the swing shift. And when the rest of the world asks, 'Why do you put up with this?' America just says, 'You don't understand our bond.'

And Canada is complaining about the noise again.

The USS Tripoli's real location, real condition, and real casualties are classified. No news story will tell you the truth. The truth is known only to the admirals, the generals, and the commanders in the White House and the bunkers in Tehran.

The link produces an error message now.  Still nothing in the MSM.

The narrative of an  unbeatable military must not be shaken.

The link works for me.  Communications from Iran are being blocked where they can be.  Why I can get it and you can't is the real question.  A website I was going to in PARS has no new content, and some things are no longer there that were there.  I suspect a spoof.  Iran has several border countries, and I check their news.  Perhaps I get into Iran from their servers?  I do not know.

Gallipoli: The Original "Force the Strait" Disaster

For those who do not know the history:

In 1915, Winston Churchill (then First Lord of the Admiralty) proposed a naval campaign to force the Dardanelles Strait—a narrow, 61-kilometer waterway connecting the Mediterranean to the Black Sea. The objective was to capture Constantinople (Istanbul), knock the Ottoman Empire out of World War I, and open a supply route to Russia.

The plan: Send British and French battleships up the strait. Suppress the Ottoman coastal forts with naval gunfire. Clear the mines. Sail through to Constantinople.

What happened:

The Ottomans had laid mines in the strait.
The Allied naval bombardment failed to destroy the mobile artillery batteries.
Several battleships struck mines and sank.
The navy withdrew, having failed to force the strait.

So the Allies tried a ground invasion instead. They landed troops on the Gallipoli Peninsula—the rugged, hilly terrain on the northern side of the strait.

What happened then:

The Ottoman defenders (commanded by Mustafa Kemal, later Atatürk) were dug in on the high ground.
The Allied troops landed on the wrong beaches, in the wrong order, without adequate support.
They were pinned down on narrow beachheads for eight months.
Tens of thousands died (44,000 Allied, 86,000 Ottoman).
The campaign was eventually evacuated, having achieved nothing.

The strategic result: The strait remained closed. The Ottomans did not surrender. Russia did not get its supply route. The war dragged on for three more years.

By 1915 the 1907 study had been forgotten.  Even in 1915 there were Trumpers.

RE

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) wrote on X.  Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-Ariz.) said the 25th Amendment "exists for a reason."  "The President of the United States is a deranged lunatic, and a national security threat to our country and the rest of the world," she said on X.

No need for High Crimes & Misdemeanors anymore.  25th Ammendment.  He can be impeached just for being unfit for office as clinically insane.  I'm sure 99 out of 100 psychiatrists would classify him as a Sociopathic Narcissist & Megalomaniac.  Throw in Misogynist & Pedophile for bonus points.

Once out of office, he can be turned over to the World Court to be tried for War Crimes.

If Trump follows through on his threats, the Gulf States are who will suffer.  If someone has a coupon we sure need to use it.  Trump will see the Gulf States burn.  The trapped animal must be stopped.

Please.

Trump said he was holding off on his threatened attacks on Iranian bridges, power plants and other civilian targets, subject to Tehran agreeing to a two-week ceasefire and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the waterway through which a fifth of the world's oil is shipped during peacetime. He also said Iran has proposed a "workable" 10-point peace plan that could help end the war launched by the U.S. and Israel in February.

Well this should take the pressure off for a bit.  I wonder how long the Israelis can go without killing anybody?

Trump has a way of making failure look like success.  He does it all the time, and he just did it again.  Because Trump is accepting the IRAN peace plan.

The US will not agree with the 10 points.  Trump buys time so he never has to say why the Tripoli had to get out of range.

It is bluster, and very expensive.

Hard to see how it's a success when Iran gets pretty much everything they want.

What was Trump up to.  Maybe looking at what he did before gives the answer.

It was a page out of the Trump playbook.  A Trump knee-jerk reaction on how he gets his way.  And as much as some people talk about how dumb Trump is I have to point out.  Trump just played America and the entire American Media with files of archives and people familiar with Trump's past said nothing.

It appears America's social amnesia is now terminal.

QuoteNow North Korea's reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of human life, -- The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself.

After threatening "total destruction," Trump became the first sitting U.S. president to meet a North Korean leader. The joint declaration was heavy on symbolism and light on substance! Regardless we paid taxes that year.  But for Trump, who paid no taxes that year it was a historic photo op with claims of a diplomatic breakthrough.  In the end North Korea gained legitimacy on the world stage without giving up any nuclear weapons.

Trump's genius is not intelligence. It's only his instinctive reptilian repetition of what works, Trump counts on everyone else having the attention span of a goldfish.  Trump makes the same move, over and over, until his pattern becomes invisible and familiar, even comfortable. That's Trump's trick.

Fascinating,

QuoteThe current occupant of the White House, for his part, rushes very publicly towards an exit strategy devoid of any strategy, which will almost certainly lead to an unfinished end of war, and a declaration of total victory by Trump.  Everyone else having to face the court of history, like George W. Bush after his premature staging of the "mission accomplished," simply does not fit into the calculations of this type of political creature.

That from 10 days ago, and it looks to be how things will work out.  Teflon Don slides again.

Israely's Core Thesis:

QuoteTrump is a man without shame. It's not simply that he says up is down, black is white, defeat is victory. Trump knows we know he doesn't believe it. And by repeating it, again and again, he exercises a new form of power that operates in its own truth regime.

Known to me as the way of the bully.

Threaten annihilation --> pivot to talks --> declare victory --> deliver nothing.

The reality TV star defines reality.  You have nothing to say about it.
